Army Corps of Engineers increasing water outflow
May 15, 2018- Due to a large amount of rain in the county over the weekend, the Kinzua Dam is increasing outflow over the next couple of days. The outflow began to increase Monday morning at 9 a.m. and would continue until around 3 p.m. The river level increased from 3,000 CFS (cubic feet per second) to 10,000 CFS. One CFS is almost the volume of a basketball. The water level is to continue for the next few days with the level possibly reaching 13,000 CFS.
