1st-3rd: Fall Open House at Virg Ann Flower & Gift Shop,  featuring beach glass jewelry by Carol, new fall decor, and candle specials. Hours: 1st: 9am-6pm; 2nd: 9am-7pm; 3rd: 9am-4pm. 2nd: In conjunction with FIRST FRIDAYS in downtown Warren, musical duo, Joan Papalia Eisert and Paul Eisert (AKA; Fire & Ice) will be performing music and poetry in front of Authors Books & Music during the event. 2nd:  Midtown Motors Drive 4UR School fundraiser from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.  Test drive a new Ford Truck and Midtown Motors will donate $20 to Ike Pride! 2nd: Warren’s Downtown First Friday event. 2nd: Hike along the lakeshore at Chapman State Park. 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.. The hike is taking a stop at the beaver lodges in hope to see some beavers in action; hot chocolate will be served after the hike.  For more information contact Jen Moore by phone at (814)723-0259. 2nd-3rd:  United Methodist Church, Clarendon Rummage sale. 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. on Friday.  9:00 a.m.-noon on Saturday. 3rd: Northwest Bank will sponsor a 5K run and 1.5 mile fun walk. Check in starts at 8 a.m. and the race will start at 10:00 a.m.. Registration is $25 and proceeds from the event will benefit LIVESTRONG at the YMCA and the American Red Cross. To register: Online (click here), or by mail.  3rd: 5th Annual Chapman State Park Fall Festival.  Activities will be held from 11:00 am – 4:00 pm beach and pavilion #4.  Families can enjoy a variety of demonstrations including apple cider, homemade ice cream, Dutch oven cooking, garbage can corn and bannock baking.  3rd: Casey Gray Memorial Whiffle Ball Tournament.  Werner Park, Russell. For more information, call 723-6297 or 688-1592. 3rd: Fall Craft Show at Garland Vol. Fire Department, Garland, PA.  Tables are $10 each Call: (814)779-3700  Email:     From: 10am-4pm 6th:  Final open read night at Authors Books & Music.  The event is free and open to all, listeners welcome. 227 Liberty Street, Warren. 6th: Warren County Fiber Artists Work Session for Kinzua Knit-Away.  Takes place at the Crossing (Hickory Street and Pennsylvania Avenue).  Begins at 6:30 p.m. 6th: Open read night, Authors Books & Music. 6:00-8:00 p.m. 8th: Warren County Visitors Bureau board meeting, 6:00 p.m. (open to public). 8th: Roach-Bauer Forestry Forum at the Kane Country Club.  The forum will host a panel of renowned researchers in hemlock woolly adelgid (HWA) studies. 8th: “Premier Tribute to the Zac Brown Band,” at the Struthers Library Theatre, 302 W. 3rd Ave., Warren, PA, 8 pm.  All seats $20 each.  For tickets: cash or check at the Library Theatre, tickets always available at the door (see full October Calendar for more ticket info).
